Frank Pallone says Draft Kings and Fan Duel need to be regulated and stick it to Jason Robbins
Leroy Yost
Draft Kings and Fan Duel are inundating the airwaves with millions of spent advertising on television to create legalized sports gambling in this nation. This fall has seen exponential growth as sports leagues and big money is fueling the expansion of these fantasy sports wagering websites and the leagues see the incremental revenue opportunities from sports addicts willing to wager their last paycheck. Both web sites have supported television and cable operators spending some 100 million dollars each this fall thus far during the football season. Luckily some politicians are wondering about the legal status of this and the harm it could create for their constituency and New Jersey politician Frank Pallone wrote a letter to congress asking what is this Fan Duel and Draft Kings bullshit and basically what the status of fantasy and sports wagering should entail. Venture capitalists are throwing all sorts of money into this bullshit industry to create overvaluation that now exceeds one billion dollars despite the fact that sports wagering is illegal everywhere outside four states. Pallone rightfully wants to examine the difference between wagering on fantasy sports and sports betting in general and what are the close ties between these sports leagues and teams with and this new fantasy industry of insanity. these companies are operating out of a carefully crafted loophole on Us sports gambling laws and Mr Pallone quickly wants to seal this shit. Pallone wondered how are fans able to risk money on individual performance and how is that different from wagering money on the outcome of a game? these sites have seen a remarkable rise in a short time without anyone except Pallone and this blog now questioning their legality.
The media is shy to take a look at these two fantasy wagering companies considering the amount of money that Draft Kings and their CEO Jason Robbins have thrown their way in advertisement money and Robbins says the way the law is written his company is legal and has a right to take from sports addict losers willing to risk income on the performance of a player on one weekend. Kudos to politician frank Pallone for going after the legality that is now in limbo and needs heavy reviewing to slow the growth of what only promises to be another destructive revenue money laundering operation and theft from the average Joes too stupid to realize the Jason Robbins and fantasy sports wagering corporations have their fucking number. I cant believe how anyone with a rightful mind would think these sites don't come under the definition of legalized sports gambling and is the reason politicians need to stomp it out now.
