Professor John Hagerdon comes on Milt Rosenberg to talk Latin Gangs and police corruption

Milt Rosenberg recently had professor of criminology John Hagerdon on his program/podcast to discuss his new book called "The In$ane Chicago Way" which basically talks about how Spanish street gangs had their way so much with Chicago police department they tried to create a new mafia. we look forward to reading and reviewing this book but as a life long citizen in Chicago who had to move many times because of shifting neighborhood change and police refusal to do anything about Puerto Rican gangbangers, all this police corruption and look away from Latino violence is all to well known. These scumbags brought and trafficked drugs all under the eye of a complicate police system whose main goal was profits and getting a slice instead of protecting the streets from this filth and crime. This book talks about how scumbag gangs such as the Latin Kings, Insane Disciples, and Imperial gangsters became so arrogant that they tried to create this system in the city that corrupted and ruled everything not much unlike the third-world warlord system one would expect to see only in Somalia or Columbia. Hagerdon informed Milt Rosenberg and his audience how these gangs operated and how someone like milt was so protected able to live far away from these dirtwads in the safety of his University of Chicago campus. Long before there was even talk of Islamic terrorism there was Latino gangs patrolling and ruling the streets with their own justice system that caused terrorism to rival gangs and those who spoke up both White and Puerto Rican. He also talked about the "Blue Code" police have for each other and that they often worked in tandem with these gangs looking the other way not to interfere with their sales and profittering in the neighborhodd. Milt actually wanted a caller who use to be in one of these gangs to call and I rushed for the perfect opportunity for a radio hose jub to no avail as the lines were busy and these guys eventually didn't even take any phone calls through the interview. These guys failed to mention the real reason that these Puerto Rican gangs proliferated and that was White flight as if there was never this the White gangs that ruled the city would never let them grow. Gangs like the Gaylords were the last of hundreds of neighborhood white gangs that served Chicago and other urban areas protecting their turf and neighborhoods from minorities and the Gaylords kicked many of these Spanish gangs into the dirt until they became so over run from the flight of their neighbors who moved to the suburbs that they had no choice but to relocate themselves. The rise of the Spanish Cobras and other Latin gangs was primarily an instrument to get new land development and home building and sales into the suburban areas where a few would make mass profits from private ownership of these companies. this is something I really wished I could of explained to these two higher educated academics that new little of what actually happened in Chicago and new York with the mass Puerto rican migration allowance of the fifties, sixties and seventies.
