Subsidies in doubt in the future hopefully for rich horse racing owners

Jake Glass
The Wall Street Journal reported how the glut and congestion of casinos is finally shedding light of the millions they pay out to subsidize rich people who love racing horses. Casino operators are seeing their revenue pinched and across the united states many are wondering why they have to pay out to horse racing tracks with a dwindling geriatric audience that only promises to shrink further and these old bastards die off. I often pass by Maywood Park Race track in Chicago's beautiful industrial burbs and see few cars in the lot on raceday especially when remembering the massive parking lot fill ups when family members forced me to attend this bullshit as a youth. It both pleases me and vindicates me that these awful places may finally go the way of the penny picture slots and eighties video game arcades as the few horse tracks still operating in America would not have survived even this long for it not been the money given to their industry from the new casinos/ some eight billion dollars have been pumped into trackside for valuable pursues for these millionaire horse owners who feel entitled to keep subsidies for their hobby nobody but a few of them care about. as an animal rights activist I have been on the forefront of battling this archaic pastime whose generational time as passed and has no business..well being in business anymore. I wonder if people knew that the money they lose in slot machines in casinos go into rescuing this industry that should be shot like a eight year old horse with a broken leg maybe they would consider pulling these machines. Horse racing has always been a brutal, wicked industry that corrupts local politicians through the years and treats the animals inhumanely and barbarically in all manners before putting them out to pasture in a horrific life for these wonderful creatures that was only caused by the callous greed of these owners and their connections to keep their worthless operations galloping all this time. End these subsidies for these stupid horse racing billionaires already as they do society nor animals no good except putting tax dollars into the reach of the filthy rich and their appalling pet projects.
