Rich people who own restaurants and enjoy constant fine dining are finding an economic problem that was highlighted in a Madison, Wisconsin paper and now is also receiving national news from the Washington Post. There is a shortage od chefs out in the world willing to toil long hours in a kitchen preparing a perfect dish for rich people. This can be a serious problem for the hungry one percent and a constant headache of shortage of able kitchen hands willing to work for little money. Chefs complain that there is a shortage of kitchen labor willing to do the arduous tasks in the kitchen leaving these talented chefs with more free time to sip their soup out of a bowl and determine what needed spices must be added.
Shithead chefs will blame millennials for refusing these bottom jobs as Kevin Templeton head chef at Barleymash in San Diego. Templeton says these young cooks want a quick buck instead of working at dishwasher/busboy wages for several years to hone their expertise and skill. Bullshit. the restaurant industry has always maintained their profits from cheap labor and now that there are so many big-time restaurants they are starting to feel the pinch of treating cooks bad and paying wages so dam little. wages remain flat so these 'successful" restaurant owners can travel freely around the world for a taste of wine and dine in exotic locations. Culinary schools are also totally expensive topping at thirty grand a year as jackasses like Kevin Templeton expect workers to be in debt out of their ass for years.
