David Pakman had helanie Olen on his program the other day talking about money and investing and how people could really manage their own money and save the fees from the predatory financial advisors. Why anyone would trust anyone in the financial sector, people unwilling to be trusted with good American jobs shipping them overseas, is besides the point and thousands have been snookered out of their life savings from these bastards with cushy office jobs where they look at computer screens and their own wagering on-line sports accounts simultaneously. Helanie Olen has written several great books on financial advisors and says it is silly to pay these so called "professionals"to manage portfolios when you can simply do a better job yourself managing your own money and taking responsibility for yourself instead of basically some stranger. ms Olen says the most important thing is saving money and paying down your credit card debt. Now I am not an expert on financial advice but having other people run your accounts and decide where to put money when they are as effective and no better than a funny monkey throwing darts on a board of fortune five hundred companies make no sense. I would advise people wondering how to invest in their own decisions to read some works of Ms Olen and other top financial writers who don't push the line on having someone in the connected finance world making the important decisions of your retirement funds. most of these people have the ultimate goal of looting your funds and diverting into failed investments of their friends ideas who could use their money to keep their pet fun projects surviving for a while. unless you are connected to insider info like the one percent are then it is foolish to put any money into stocks or bonds. Just buy gold.
