Garbage is everywhere and getting harder and harder to put somewhere. Author Edward Humes informs people of this problem with a book entitles "garbology" and basically details the process of landfills and how much sludge and waste this country produces epically compared to others. Humes gives a great historical recap of how this country dealt with garbage throughout this nations history from colonial times to incinerators in los Angeles and basically where every backyard people just burnt this shit and added wonderful waste fumes into the night sky. The LA basin trapped all this wonderful smog and the choking haze these people lived in would make even the most ardent libertarian reconsider their views that people should be left aloe to do anything as they please. Humes focuses especially on Los Angeles as one poor community gets stuck with the landfill for the entire metro area and the Puente Hills landfill is very informative to people who care little or had no idea where all the garbage went and the excruciating tasks workers set into piling this garbage into the dirt. Mr Humes also gets into the down and dirty how garbage pollutes our oceans and the work environmentalists seek to inform and fix these problems we face in battling the consumption society put upon by corporatists. a wealthy class whose bottom line and costs of garbage disposal is not charged on a bill of costs on society that these industrialists produce for the planet. Humes goes through the fighters against garbage and the plastic companies that refuse to end plastic bags in grocery stores which is a leading culprit of garbage and out of this madness the creation of garbage plastic monster by Andy Keller. This plastic bag monster is the brainchild and creation of Mr Keller to inform the public of the waste and problems that these chemical and plastic companies and lobbies spend big bucks to prevent municipalities from banning these dastardly products that are hard to get rid. We all need to play our part in ending our contribution to such masses amount of garbage and bringing in a backpack for small grocery items is something I will now consider at all times after seeing this scary monster suit
