The Chicago taxi industry is on the verge of collapse and this is a good thing. Since Chicago allowed and passed a ride-sharing ordinance the taxi average gross income has been cut in half according Meg Lewis and other taxi lobbyists. They say the parking lot is full of unleased vehicles as if somehow the tremendous costs and rates for a medallion are not the real issue. If this means the loss of thousands of full-time jobs then let it be as a Chicagoan I have often seen many of these taxis adding to traffic often with no riders. Young people now days are not willing to step into a vehicle with some foreigner from god knows from what lands who kill in the name of Allah or their interpretation of God. Screw that shit. If these companies can't lease their vehicles let them bastards and their fossil fuel burning industry file for bankruptcy. The real issue is the United States and other Western countries are serious about cutting back emissions they can begin by putting these fuckers out of business and making people ride-share or take a bus Gus. The taxi industry around the country wants a bail out by government and the government needs to sell these people to stick it and find a more beneficial useful occupation for the masses. Illinois Transportation Trade association counsel Mara Georges says nobody can get a loan for a medallion or purchase a new vehicle and that 70 percent of medallion loans are in default. too bad so sad. could it be that you jackasses jacked up the value of medallions to serve the banking class needs for profits and that is part of the problem. This recent meeting of the City council License Committee was a joke and their demands that Uber and Lyft drivers obtain chauffer licensed really isn't going to change their financial position and the fact that the gig is up and most people are sick and tired of this immigrant nasty industry and that it is antiquated and needs to go Joe. Basically the taxi industry wants a monopoly at O hare airport and doesn't want competition so they can charge these outrageous loans and interest in obtaining a medallion and limiting the number of drier in a city and this scam scheme is how taxi industries have operated for so long. Chicago's taxis and their eye candy supposed driver Melissa Callahan spokeswoman can cry all they want but Uber and lyft are here to stay and they better deal with the internal structure of their own industry instead of pushing government to level the playing field to their advantages as they were once accustomed and is no longer feasible.
