Sports Authority is in trouble and the need to fill bagboy stores becomes more and more difficult. retails struggles in a nutshell can be blamed on thee high property tax McMansion areas of suburbia where families are stretched out nd have to cut spending because of their tax dollar being spent to draw medical centers and pay for teachers outrageous bonuses. Retail big box spiral downwards will only affect inequality more as liberals love to proclaim is a major problem yet they adhere the consumer culture of this country where buying products are necessary in a service industry. I for one would much appreciate a big-box new selling stuff than your average Goodwill and Thrift junk store and the possibly of more closures for big retailers should be scary thought for people. sports authority closures may be celebrated by some including many of the punks at the Left Shark blog but schools and local governments ability to garner dollars outside from your property taxes will now be stressed and and big box failures will only magnitude this problem for suburban government and school districts. sports Authority is filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and will continue to operate but for how much longer is no buyer is found is questionable.
The publics insistence of purchasing products on-line is unsocial and basically bad for the economy and your country and the liberals mocking of George W Bush's request for people to consume and buy products fails to see the dollars government requires to get through sales taxes that allow us to live in a modern society with services available and what separates us from Syria and Afghanistan. trust me you would rather have a corporate business in your suburban community than being dependent on small immigrant grocers or other ethnic stores that only draw business from a small group of immigrants. Hopefully sports Authority is purchases by another investment group and they turn round business giving some competition in the sporting goods retail industry and not be dominated by a monopoly of a Wal-Mart and Dick's sporting Goods. 
Another problem is young men. They are not going out socializing with people who are not their peers and learning an important socialization affect of outer life from a basement and video game and internet culture that captures them away from public space. Sports Authority fall can be traced to the traction of men not venturing out alone or with their male friends for a shopping experience that could open up opportunities to meet the opposite sex and learning new ideas and adventure outside of shooting pixels on a screen and becoming more active in your community.
