Chuck Mertz is host of the This Is Hell podcast based out of Northwestern and basically he has one of the best progressive podcasts out there. he recently had author Chloe Taft on her program to talk about Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and how this struggling towns dependency on casinos hasn't planned out. She compares the transition of economies from the steel industry to todays casino economy and this same process of once industrial towns turning casino is played out in many places. Chloe was on to promote a new book on this subject and wanted to downplay the modern glorification of tough steel jobs. The real issue she told Mertz was that workers want t good job with benefits and the loss of the steel industry and these jobs have hit this country hard. This has lead basically a easier transition for foreigners to come and use their money and influence to change Americas rules and cultures as casinos and health care are a clear indication of this. The only growth in the economy of America it seems is health care and Casinos. Casinos are exclusivity of those able or foolish enough to squander and risk money and the rise of casino culture in America resembles the risky nature of this country contrasts what was the manufacturing strength and stability of steel that was once a strong America. The fact that this country allowed the loss of these great steel jobs that could provide for a family on one wages and allowance given to elites to move to a poker game society and culture is one of the tragedies and consequences of the decline of America and towns like Bethlehem. I would of liked to hear more of Chloe talk about the role of globalization and how it played a hand in this by letting rich investors around the world avoid the taxes in their individual countries and move money around investing in this casino enterprises. The same globalization in moving money around though has opened up hospitals and caused an intense government spending and costs on health care through this same method that finds women such as Chloe opportunities to find a doctor husband as so many foreigners flock to this country to open up their practice and make more jingle and moolah instead of helping their own people in their native countries. the reason you see so many students from outside the country because they know America is a gold mine that will back up the increasing expenses of health care and why which mainly these corrupt foreigners come here to take advantage and increase costs and in Chloe's husbands case settling down and marrying an American. The rise of health care and casino economies go together in this country as they are both deliberate attempts to take ahold of the resources and provide easy incomes for a small upper class of globalists from around the world whose main motivation is moving and hiding money around and keeping it in their private family's coffers instead of sharing it for society. maybe next book this woman writes a book and appears on Mertz's program she can focus on the foreign take-over of our health care system by men such as her husband and how they benefit this country making health care real expensive so they can afford to buy American wives.
