professor Daniel Hamermesh has quit his easy and tenured position at the University of Texas and moved to Australia. the leftist liberal douchbag professor couldn't stand the idea that gun-rights advocates won in his adopted state of Texas whose university system hired this old geezard way past an age he should of long been retired and out to pasture doing landscaping for his suburban sprawl home. losers against guns should move out of the country as tis man proudly announced recently taking his ass where students can't protect themselves. He was scheduled to teach an economics class this year but he signed a pledge with three hundred other faculty members that they were not going to allow any students to display guns in their classes.
In June, Gov. Greg Abbott (R) put forth a new law to allow licensed concealed handgun permit holders to carry their guns on college campuses. Set to take effect Aug. 1, 2016, the law allows university presidents to carve out some areas that will remain gun free zones. Professor Hamermesh was an arrogant prick and tried hard in vain to fight these new rights won y gun activists in Texas to arm themselves and protect themselves and their classmates should some nut start shooting on campus as what happened in Virginia Tech when that Korean kid decided he would play judge and executer because he was a fucking idiot. perhaps 
Professor Hamermesh forgot about this tragedy or maybe he thinks young adults on campus shouldn't have the right to self-defense. as student group also pointed out this nimrod jackass Hamermesh is setting himself up as a “false martyr” for those against campus carry and point out the only class he instructs is for first-semester freshmen who average 18 years of age and are not old enough under Texas law to carry a concealed handgun. This guy smells political opportunism when he sees it as he was trying to get a college teaching gig at the University f Sydney which unfortunately for the college students over there this guy eventually did get thanks to his relentless media exposure and positive dialogue through the media as some sort of anti-gun crusader.
