Ned Baily
David Begun Begun a book about primates and is uses the classic Hollywood tale in his title as professor Begun writes "The Real Planet Of The Apes". Unfortunately this book is not fiction nor does it offer any great story line as this is all science and Me Begun talks about the various prehistoric apes. This leading Paleoanthropolisgist from the University of Toronto makes the claim that has exasperated so many anthropologists and other apologists who want to insist human kind came out of Africa David begun says humankind begun in Europe as the most important linkages that separates us from the great apes began in Europe and not the African continent. Professor began studies all of the great apes in the past in this scientific research including Dryopithecus and Griphopithecus and pretty much explains the differences and evolution of Apes ad humans and the paths that diverted these two species. In trying to get a better understanding of the complex nature of apes professor begun goes way back to the ape family tree nd give perhaps the best evolutionary tale in recent years about the great apes and tries to explain to the casual ape observer that apes back then were more monkey like until the complex social network of apes started to grow along with the size of these species. the lack of fossils from the first ape species gives scientists little idea of what early ape looked like but Mr. Begun gives many recreations of the fossils in graphs and pictures throughout this book. he leaves no bone uncovered and covers molars and hip bones throughout this book in trying to explain the differences and eventual evolution of ape into a man.
professor begun has only began the look into how hominids adapted and left Africa several times and he pretty much theorizes why the apes were as rare back in the day and humans prospered throughout the planet. Much of this book is about teeth and the jaw and what early apes were able to chew and not to chew. just like the fucking panda is seems many apes were stick to a less diverse diet than mankind nd is why they couldn't proliferate and their branch more randomly evolve and expand more in habitat and diet. apes were stuck in their local forests unwilling to be as adventurous as early hominids who got off their knuckles and went places. it is hard to expand your hips and get taller and walk straighter when your specialized and only looking for a certain leaf or nut. professor begun also pointed out though was hesitant to bring up yeti and bigfoot. \He proposed that there are some who think Giantopithicus didn't die out and that reports of bigfoot or the abominable snowman still exist. professor begun gets numerous books into his office every year from budding authors and nut jobs who claim to have footprints of this mythical beast form the North. Until Professor Begun begins to see some bizarre teeth that can be dated to within the past fifty years of a bigfoot character he is skeptical that there is a relative of mankind still out there and that most of these reports of bigfoot are not authentic. ts however is a great book to read about old apes and to see a lot of their skeletons.
