Professor Michael Munger tries to explain slavery to Russ Robert's on his econtalk economics podcat

Troy York
Professor Michael Munger is an extreme libertarian and a professor we often love to lampoon here a this blog. I would of hated taking Michael Munger's classes had I been lucky to be born in privileged and had a ticket bought to Duke University but in conversations professor Munger has often on Econtalk with Russ Robert one gets quickly a comprehension how this man thinks of economics. Michael Munger says Europeans had a vast continent and felt compelled to transform this land quickly and that free labor was necessary to create the sudden wealth and power of the country in the face of some many empires and threats surrounding the former English colonies. Munger felt the fear of resistance and revenge seeking Blacks is what initiated racism through the years in the South and that Northern areas didn't have this same fear, as Indians were well displace and the Black population pretty much was non-existentImage result for michael munger on slavery . Monger went on to say slavery was inefficient system but for the while it lasted it was efficient enough to create wealth for the owners of the plantations and estates who accumulated vast wealth through it and the Munger ignores the role of the private industry and the corporation for developing and nurturing the system of slavery. no where does he lay the beginnings of the system to trade on a global system as the practical reason why there was a slave system to begin with and this talking mouthpiece jackass used government in his talk with Robert's on slavery much more than private industry. So it was the South's reliance of a racial system that perpetuated not only both slavery but racism through the years.Image result for sugar fields slavery Munger talks about how the British got rid of slavery and didn't have to worry about the implications of the effects of slavery as they imported most of these sorry slave saps into the New World and not to merry old England. Capitalism could not have survived and expanded without the cheap and migratory labor of whether it be the slave or the migrant worker from Europe, Asian, or Latin America who would come and leave their ancestral lands for economic advantages for themselves but in particular to the economic exploiter owner of capital uses power can transform regions and force people to move about for the profit of owners of capital around the world. Image result for michael munger on slavery russ robertsProfessor Munger doesn't say that if permitted Native Americans would of as well created a racial caste system of Black slave ownership bringing them the same wealth and power and the Cherokees were indeed attempting to emulate this slave-holding asset accumulation and were becoming successful before Andrew Jackson displaced the Southern tribes from their lands. Munger says the slave system was good to the slaves for a period of time as there was no big government handout programs like there are to day for the Blacks and owners of slaves basically had a duty to take care of the food and health needs of his property. Somehow the discussion of professor Munger got into todays social security which he feels should make more mone if it was privatized and that as a propaganda professor he never has to wory about his profession being shipped overseas. Munger's ancestors benefited form the system of slavery and the capital created and men like him fight so furiously against big government because it attempts to give a leg up and support for those descended from the poor immigrant who left feudal Europe or the former slave. Any attempt at expenditure that helps the masses and not the few already wealthy is seen as bogus by libertarian lunatics such as a professor Miachael Munger amd a podcat jack mouth like Russel Roberts.
