Earl "Bam Bam" Cunningham
I was catching this chump named Nick Digilio who has some overnight radio gig in the Chicago area and the dude was talking and yapping it up about mascots. Nick Digilio loves mascots and finds them hilarious talking about the United Center's two maintains of Benny the Bull and Tommy Hawk. Nick Digilio says that the more he tries and can't understand the existence of mascots the more hilarious and he is susceptible to gas laughter whenever he is at a park for a freebie game and sees the sassy antics of one of our nations sports mascots. Through the hour of talk though Nick Digilio and his co-host said shit about the stereotypes and bad mascots that were part of the sports landscape and when I tried calling his phone screen caller I was told Nick Digilio didn't want to bring up controversial subjects and thus was not allowed to give my two cents and rants of the stupidity and racial aspects of the mascot. I was particularly gong to bring up the famed Phoenix Gorilla and how racist it was being a part of NBA games. This is a guy I tried talking before about his love and appreciation for the Chicago hockey team whose portray and image of an Indian as a team embalm is as racist as the Washington Redskins and other American Indian team names and characterization of a people still alive and now thriving fighting against the energy extractors and so forth. You see fans like Nick Digilio don't want to admit their beloved teams using native American mascots is outdated and dumb and has been a controversial subject because so many fans have been unwilling to dismiss the negativity associated with these mascots because it donsn't affect their heritage and so forth. A nick Digilio wants to ignore the controversy and celebrate the existence of team nicknames and these mascots and this guys contempt for dialogue of this issue sows pretty much the corporate big wig his radio station and he is for speaking only on the positive aspects of corporate sports and its complex and nomination of American culture.
