Garrison Keiller misses hitchhiking and talking to whack jobs who pick up strangers

Herbert Gilbert
Garrison Keillor is an old man who often is nostalgic for the past and he recently wrote a piece observing people and being a social critic. Garrison feels lie life is like living in a garrison and that people don't have much small talk with one another as they use to back in the day. Garrison recently talked to some old coot from Connecticut who moved to Florida and was amazed how little time he actually spent at Florida's rich beaches through the years. Garrison Keiller use to hitchhike as a youngster and was use to conversing in a world with strangers and he is surprised to see how few people continue this tradition.
In a life full of social media and text messages Mr Keiller says people stand in lines at stores and stare at their mobile devices and that many people have earplugs in their ears to shut off the outside world and this new social fact is very disheartening for journalist legend like Mr. Keiller. from all appearances to as much of a clown Mr Keiller looks it is no wonder people seek to avoid any talk with him yet alone small talk. The jerk should just consider hi lucky he had an easy gig of writing to make a good income and have the fortunes to be a grandfather and family structure for dialogue and discussion and in reality this is something most people prefer than a fake news conversation with man on the street.
