John Gordon Steel to proud of American transportation expansion empire

Herbert Gilbert
John Steel Gordon is an American author penning many books through the decades and I noticed one of his books and decided to review it. The cover of the book a war plan e and train on it talking about the American empire and it should have a droe to be more up to date. In his book " an empire Ozf Wealth" Mr Steele gives pretty much a sum rundown of how wealth was created and the role of transportation innovation for pretty much most of this wealth. The creation of wealth for this country was pretty much made through the creation of trade and a race to the bottom of moving people and objects and this is still much of the economic engine for this nation.Image result for john steele gordon I found it intriguing that the author did include trains, planes, and automobiles for much of his book and this read really illustrates the impact of the train industry and there is a reason why the monopoly game board features railroads on its boards. throughout the book this famed historian writes of the resilience of the American economy to survive boos and busts but this  could be the result of location ,location, and location as America has done a good job exporting its wars and having few actually take place within its borders. Mr Steel is proud of America and that much of the major innovations in the 20th century took place in America and tis book is filled with banking and tax jargon as raising money by the federal government was often crucial for these developments and innovations to produce the wealth. Mr. Steele worships the great robber barons such as AndrewImage result for john steele gordon books Carnegie and Vanderbilt, a man who cut corners and ended free passes when buying up railroads,  and basically these men became mega-millanires form using power to destroy competitors. this then can be deduced to American oversea empire and that any form of government that is not an ally or allows our profiteers access to markets can be crushed if possible no different than when the South was crushed for trying to go in a different direction with the Northern industrialists.  the boon and busts that Steel Gordon is so proud off is essentially what offers cheap assets to become available and monopolistic domination of the economy to accelerate and the best part of the book is when he discusses the seventies as Americas economy declined dramatically although this turkey doesn't say the primary reason of over-build, tax  avoidance, military merry go around, and entitlements all causing tremendous cost to both government and business to serve an economically stagnant and migratory bargain basement population. Alas the American empire this guy extols is not sustaining and undeserving as is any empire relying on oppression and exploitation of the lower classes so a few can live like industrial pigs and kings.
