The amount of waste due to food deliveries systems in China is only now being realized and reported on as Chinese cities are choked with men on motor bikes polluting into the air. The meal-order delivery industry in China has exploded along with more industrial waste and traffic in Chinese cities as hungry Chinese are starting to not go out and have the poor migrants work and dangerously speed the cities crowded streets to get Chinese broccoli dishes out while still warm. Sixty five million containers are usually discard and added as additional waste onto the scene.
What is even more obscene is the big food delivery companies even refused to end wasting plastic and chopsticks when requested and the whole concept of poor rural migrants rushing food for upper elitist in Chinese cities who can't be bothered to go out for their own food and supplies is a terrible business model. It is almost as bad as Webvan.com paying and using drivers some years back to deliver one order of pack of gum to those wiling to pay for this service. it seems like there was a service to be provided for those unwilling to bothered getting out or downstairs onto the streets form their expensive high rises. Much of steamed beef dishes with chestnuts and some ginger seeds comes from bulls let loose eating theountains of Chinese garbage left piling up
However the ethical and environmental issues with suck slothness and more delivery for it to serve the upper five percent who can easily pay for these conveniences everyday is being criticized and attacked worldwide as it should. The massive climate change faced with all these high rise living of Chonest and their Chinese kitchens will be explained at a later date
