Paul Sullivan read a wall Street Journal article with a pro and con thought opinion of whether men should wear ball caps past a certain age. Mr Sullivan is a sports fan and obviously relishes the chance to put one on and he basically wrote a sports article examining this aspect of American culture and why there would even be a controversy and opinion. Sullivan' s recent observations is something I noticed that certain areas a ball cap doesn't seem to fly and there is an anti-cap movement in this country as some areas and events it is deemed inappropriate to wear a hat. One can recall the anger Tony Soprano felt seeing a young dude in an Italian restaurant and on a date wearing a ballcap and this arrogance of anti-capism is basically anti-Americanism form the mall migrant upper classes as these globalist just don feel a scene with people in caps are appropriate unless they are watching tennis. Soprano went on to whack this jack in this episode season three episode 12 of the Sopranos and basically one doesn't wear a hat to a Italian restaurant owned by a mob boss who requests you take it off.
The idea that people of a certain age cannot wear a hat too smacks of elitism and ageism as well. All I can say is that if your are s ports fan and feel the need to wear one then just do it and the points made in the Wall street Journal piece I admit are a category I fall into as who needs to comb ones head all of the time when wearing a ball cap of my beloved sports teams.
A ballcap is and should be seen as the anti-corporate anti-conformity symbol as well and for Sullivan to fret about it and question his desire or need for a because some Wall Street Journal big wigs disdain it is ridiculous. Upon looking at the fuck face of writer Paul Sullivan I can attest that perhaps instead of fretting over wearing a ballcap he should be questioning if he should wear a mask in public. Apparently Paul Sullivan never saw how studly and cool Michael Moore looks wearing the great Detroit Tiger baseball hat.
