Howard Schultz couldn't believe it when news came out that Starbucks would be losing a premier sport and space on Brady street and reason for this is still unknown. I reckon that Brady street is battling the chains and even a Starbucks is something this hip college-like atmosphere urban area doesn't wish to have represented on this wonderful cool street in Mid-town Milwaukee. This doesn't bode well for the future of Starbucks. Starbucks also has been getting crushed by both Hopscotch coffee house and Wired Cafe down the street and it appears that Howard Schultz was embarrassed, shocked, and awed by the fact that his big coffee conglomerate was getting its ass whipped by the independents on Brady Street.
What makes urban street s and cities so much cooler than the ubiquitous and increasingly minority suburbs is that trendy and unique spots increase real estate values and promote a more healthier and visually appealing area to live in Howard Schultz is CEO and big wig of Starbucks and to lose an important spot such as this does not look promising and all well for this global company. Howard has trouble sleeping at night thinking how Brady street was lost and how his chain is more and more unwelcome and treated like a Subway franchise sandwich shop at these exclusive trendy neighborhoods.(Subway BTW also closed on Brady not that long ago) Howard Schultz and Starbucks no they can't compete with places that don't want corporate sameness reigning their streets
