Huge strike against authoritarian and corrupt Dick Portillo and the hedge fund that owns Chicagoland's Portillos eatery

   Portillos is this over-priced chain made famous and was able to spread through the connections of its founder and executive Dick Portillo as a large funding base for operations to this Mexican Italian blood was available  which propelled Mr Portillo over the hundred and hundreds of other Chicago Beef joints back in the day. make no mistake Dick Portillo and his Portillos was nothing more special or superior but the money brokers and monopolists put their backing into this mans trusted hands and only thing explains why Portillos is such a large force to this day with its over-priced menu and

tasteless bland food that we have long maintained as nothing special. The labor practices of Portillos was also abhorrent and likely has become worse after hedge funds took over and after a huge strike that detailed large labor problems with this Illinois chain the Portillos group decided to go public and offer a  IPO as this strike by the non-unionized workforce threatens the every existence of this a fraudulent hot dog stand and company. Over 18 of the 25 person workforce in some distribution center of Portillos walked off the job as the company refuses to raise wages and enforces more work  for the current workforce as Portillos has not filled the loss of workers who left in the first days of Covid and the current workforce are doing double the work with only a quarter cent raise for all of their trouble.

 Portillos labor history is abyssal  and it was only a matter of time before the workers decided to strike and the way Portillos treat its largely Latino work force is unbelievable. The strike lasted a week and clearly Portillos management was fearful of it and as of now there is a steady calm  but if little is done these workers will once again walk off the job as little trickles down to the workers who prepare and distribute the food to the various fifty locations in the Chcoaland are of this over-priced and abusive with their labor because over'hyped chain.

Portillos sucks because Dick Portillo seeks to extract as much as he can from the workers to benefit himself and this is what the executive class and their investor global class do to the workers today and Portillos is among the worse of the fast casual chains in how they train and push their workers. There will be no justice no beef until Portillos finishes their abusive labor practices that lead to this strike
