Animal Stories
Shasta was used as the pet Mountain Lion for the University of Houston or Penn State or whatever I forgot. The Lion escaped its pen and ran for the south Woods and was being searched for various police agencies in the past weeks and today upon a search on-lien we have discovered Shasta has died and moved onto the bog sky country. Shasta was this cat-like creature that never got to stretch or jump as mother nature intended because some donkey jackass decided that animals would be good entertainment and should be in captivity surrounded by barbed wire and steel cages for the amusement and profit for their financial gain and alarmingly many people with money and extra food wealth are deciding that a Puma or Mountain lion would make a good family-friendly pet.
The demand to make local animals as mascots is graven to our society and Shasta was penned up in a little cage moved towards Houston Cougar football games peddling class rings and other University of Houston wear and apparently one day Shasta had enough a few weeks ago and escaped before a Houston University and Texas big game. being a caged up beast for a halftime show for a college football Saturday is not a serenity lifestyle and Shasta in her eleven years never went a day without thinking of a escape from its horrible situation. Last month Shasta made a break for it and escaped the hell of the Houston zoo.
Shasta longing for freedom and escape |
Shasta was tried and convicted for the crime of being a Puma and was confided in the Houston Zoo for most of its life and was moved towards Houston Cougar basketball and football games a sit was confused and frightened telling those listening in on Ouija board radio as it often thought it was gong to some combative coliseum type battle. Shasta was a beast from the Mountain West and should of been allowed the freedom
