Corporate workers at McDonald's -who specialize is destroying mom and eateries around small town America for the sameness and lameness of the Golden Arches everywhere- were shocked to see thousands of protesters amass their massive campus in elegant sprawl Oak brook, Illinois. Among them was myself with a few buddies out to report on this massive protest to strike for live able wages. The ability to reunionize this country was another reason I decided to sow up and this was another call from these protesters along with a most fifteen dollar and hour demand. At around 1:15 pm the lack clad police storm troopers came out to end this occupation of McDonald's and they grabbed over a hundred before most of us retreated into a lot across the street. This incredible invasion and occupation of the most massive corporation that underpays their workers in America was an incredible organizing event by man brave people and was long in coming. Kudos to many folks involved with fast food forward in seeking to gain workers rights and an increase in wages for what is a difficult and important job serving peoples food for this giant corporation. Fast food jobs are not occupied by teenagers has it had been for a long time. Most of the workers as families and many did indeed say they wee out there mainly for their kids and trying to get increase in wages to make it easier for their family survival. One of the downfalls of the working class since the rise of Reagan and the right wind business extreme politics is workers not organizing and confronting these corporatist s on their home turf and battle them in the media and for the public mind. The refusal of corporations like McDonald's being able to provide more than eight dollars for a hours pay and forty hours of work is a basic fudge mental wrong and right to continue to operate on these rules should no longer be tolerated by the public.
