David Zirin and the racism of the Lebron James haters

   Miami Heat haters are riding high after the San Antonio Spurs made short work of the Heat in this years NBA finals. The finals lasted all but five games and in reality the real disdain and hatred of the Miami Heat is the results mostly of one player and that is Lebron James. Lebron James will easily surpass Michael Jordan's career point tally and many will proclaim Lebron James the greatest NBA player of all time after this fact. For now how he left Cleveland and decided to become a champion in a much better city is reason for much of the hate from NBA fans directed towards the heat and Mr James. 

   Noted sports writer David Zirin says the main factor for the hate of Lebron James is the fact that white fans hate to see a lack star athlete declare his independence and do what he wants to do. There was equal criticism of Michael Jordan when he had enough of the fat Krause and Reinsdorf and decided to leave Chicago to play his final two years in Washington. of course in Chicago bringing six titles helped level some of this. I agree with Zirin that white NBA fans don't like a black star athlete decide his own future regardless of what agents, sponsors, or advertisers may say. Lebron knew he did not have a future of what a game hanging star like him deserves in Crummy Cleveland and what big time extreme basketball athlete in his mind not leave a city like that for one such as Miami. Lebron and the Heat just did not appear to be as hungry for a ring this year as in years past and this will have to be worked on next year just to irritate the haters.
