Illinois is traditionally a blue state and in this landslide year for Republicans mainly due to it being an off election year cycle they captured many senate seats. One in which they persistently fail at though is Illinois and Jim Oberweis ran and lost a major office in Illinois for a record fourth time. Meanwhile, the Republican candidate for Governor who like Oberweis spent millions in his own bank account shocked the state by actually winning the election on his first try. This may have more to do with the unpopularity of the old white haired Patrick Quinn than anything else but you cannot deny that this holds well for the political future of Jim Oberweis. he is only sixty eight years of age and after his fourth loss his name recognition is finally starting to get out there to those who don't like ice cream in Illinois.
After seeing fuck faces Bruce Rauner's amazing victory I heard Jim Oberweis is actually considering another senate run in a few years against Mark Kirk although someone may have to explain to Jim that Kirk is actually a fellow right wing Republican. Whether this or not deters Jim Oberweis from running for the other senate seat of Illinois I do not know. There is always the possibility of this dairy magnate plutocrat of moving a few miles North into Wisconsin or moving in with his rich wife in Florida to make senate runs in those states and share his political knowledge and himself with people in other states. Whatever the case Jim Oberweis was not part of the Republican wave last night and soundly got trounced in another Illinois major election. Its time for Jim Oberweis to go back down on the farm and to his cash cows that have made him ridiculous rich at the same time ridiculously stupid wasting money to get more power in his mind.
