Celebrating the return of Opus and bloom Country

Arnold Buckley
Berkely Breathed has brought back Bloom Country and this could only bring back Opus the penguin. One of my favorite comic characters opus was this politically involved penguin in this strip that ran pretty much just through the entire eighties. breathed had won a Pulitzer prize award in 1987 and after nearly the full decade, much like Calvin and Hobbes creator Bill Waterson, he decided to pull the plug on his numerous characters and the Boom family. fans of this strip are celebrating as last week Berkely Breathed new life and resurrected this strip with new panels and so forth and we here at the Left shark especially welcome back opus the penguin. This character rocked ass and was among the best animals in the comic strips in the eighties. I think I recall there was a funny rabbit or ct in this comic strip as well. On one of the first strips back opus was complaining about being gone for all these years and if he missed puberty. he was told to look in his shorts and check and the silly cuckoo checked his ass. I just cannot believe that a comic strip artist like Mr. Breathed and fucking Bill Waterson would just decided out of the blue to stop their art despite the millions that need a daily fix in much the way others need a daily expresso of cup of Joe. This fuckhead better come up with some good political stories and strips that were as great as they were in the eighties and what I have seen thus far it seems that Boom Country is a bit rusty/ I guess you would expect that after like being off for all these years and living like Seinfeld and his friends not doing shit but just hanging out.
