Matt Damon is some actor who made it pretty big in Hollywood starring in some really bad movie called the Martian. In This movie he is an astronaut stranded on Mars and this movie and actor is about as entertaining as watching skunks court each other in the North Woods. Damon spoke about actors like himself hoping for one of those rare roles that are monopolized by dickwads like himself who do so many movies. He basically said that all gay actors should stay in the closet if they want their careers to thrive. This is basically telling them to hide who they are because they are In The public eye and may be judged by bigots in the industry who really decide which few actors get the breaks. Damon has been rightfully blasted for this comment and other many stupid ones this jagoff has said I said in the past and perhaps his arrogance is what makes him sought out and popular with the directors and producers. 
Damon isnt popular with fans nor critics and basically has carved out a niche in Hollywood somehow maybe because of the offstage comments and diarrhea which only those in the industry hear and share. When one considers the promotion of actors in gossip magazines geared towards women and the popularity publicity capabilities of them he may have a point on gay actors. The biggest judges and critics may well be the women buying up these magazine papers not wishing to see two males embracing by a beach instead of the usual man and women.
