Money Speak
Tony Miselli
The egregious attitude of corporate pharmaceutical industry is getting more and more scrutiny as the actions of EpiPen price gouging scheme is brought to light for so many to see how their American companies treat the sick. Jim Hightower has been enraged by the actions of Epipen and Mylan CEO Heather Bresch who received a huge bonus as head of this rotten pharmaceutical profiteer that markets the EpiPen medical device, which literally is a lifesaver for people who suffer deadly anaphylaxis allergy attacks. corporate drug makers are all about making money for their executives so they can have big farms and barns and in order for this a huge profit needs to be created at the expense of the people. This woman has so angered Jim Hightower and has been the focus of this great progressives writings and interviews on various podcast through the past month as news of EpiPens iniquitous decisions to raise the price of this allergy drug some 900% and that so many poor kids need to survive a episode of massive allergy reactions that can hit the poor souls anytime. Jim Hightower has quite literally and singularity ripped this bitch a new asshole and any news that can highlight from a high tower the vile actions and decisions of such as this should be excellently appreciated from the public. the growing furor over drug pricing threatens to turn Mylan’s biggest asset into a liability thanks to dudes like Jim Hightower rightfully pointing out what bullshit this is and how little regulation and prevention our corrupt government does about actions like this. The role of money and kicking the consumer in the ass forcing them to subsidize the lives of CEOs and drug makers in products that make them a wage slave and dependent on the charities of the plutocrats who quit literally are makin g these drugs unaffordable so people can die and there is more money for themselves. This has forced Bresch into an unwelcome spotlight, as anxiety over the rising cost of medicine has drug industry critics seeking out the next Martin Shkreli. The greed of the corporate class to hike prices and their bonues at the same time for life0saving drugs is tyopical of the corporate class as this woman and company cares more about profit and collecting horses than creating the affordable drugs and health care of their fellow man.
She has also become one of the drug industry’s highest-paid CEOs, pocketing more than $18 million in cash and stock last year, and sitting at the head of a $26 billion enterprise.
Now, as the specter of a Senate investigation looms, Bresch faces what could become her biggest challenge and possible confiscation of her assets, home, and horses hopefully follows for trying to screw over the public and take more money form those who can least affod to lode more.
