Les Leopold came on Sam Sedar's Ring of Fire radio sow to discuss how Donald Trump exposed trade inequalities to help garner the public to vote for him over the corporatist Hillary Clinton. Les Leopold and Sedar discussed carrier technologies and their plans of taking all of their jobs out of the Indianapolis area and move their operations to Mexico so they (United Technologies)can manufacture air-conditioners in Mexico for ..surprise..to ship them on trucks out of Mexico and with Mexican truck drivers to sell at high mark-up in the United States.
Why Sam Sedar of Les Leopold would wonder why so many Americans would have problems and should have problems with this trade agreements meant to maximize profit and burn fossil fuels through movement.
Little is ever said that one of the goals of trade such as this, aside from lowering wages and maximizing profits, is to continue to burn oil and make this industry profitable as well moving and shipping products by train or truck. if these companies can move jobs to Mexico and gain advantages of cheap labor they should be forced to sell them as they would be priced in ahhh say Mexico. If not Donald Trump should slap a fucking tariff on these American companies and Donald Trump has forced this carrier company to change its plans and come to some sort of agreement that it had better keep most of these jobs in struggling Indianapolis or face ahhhhhhhhh the consequences as ahhh a Sam Sedar would er ah say. 
Sedar and Leopold talked about the fallacy of companies using technology as an excuse for not hiring workers and putting blame for disappearance of job s when in fact, as Leopold explains brilliantly in this interview, it is the wealth extraction of companies and decisions to reward other agencies (i.e marketing, advertising, financial firms) and avoid cash flows from going to the executives and away from the workers. les talked abut how the goal of moving the plant from Indianapolis to Mexico and then use the savings from paying much less wages to buy back the stocks and keep the stock holders and executives more well off. Sam Sedar then talked about how hedge fund control of companies can reward themselves and the chief executives as the company slowly fails over time as ahhh a battery loses life in a old transistor radio.
