David Brooks blasts America's consumerist competitive lifestyle

Jacoby Genevese
David brooks is one of the leading conservative writers of the day and has often been described as a political journalist and comic sociologist. he has written about Americas ever increasing need to keep up with the Jones and buy everything bigger and bigger regardless of the bigger debt that they are unwilling to be able to pay back. David Brook's best work thus far some say is his book called  "On Paradise Drive" as he mocks the people who do a family outing at Hoe Depot,Wal-Marts, and Walgreens on weekends in their cul de sac environments. I wish he had explored the depth that suburbanite people are so scary cats that they only get out on their sprawl streets to walk the family dog or mow the grass around their own home bubble.
Brooks describes all the various types of suburbs an the folks in them and why they all suck ass often mocking in a witty way how people impersonate one another and need to get the bigger more elaborate outdoor grill or swimming pool. Brooks also speaks of the ridiculous of the travel team and sports has in essence become a baby sitter for wealthy parents to put their kids off someplace and away and Mr Brooks spends much time fun of American suburbanites obsession with their kids and especially in the athletic ability of their child taking great pride when little Johnny steals second and shoves his cleat up the opposing opponents nose. Bros observes Americans obsession with working long and longer hours as this is some character building trait to be away from ones loved ones and make more money to gain further borrowing ability to purchase the product you might use once a year. Brooks looks at various critical elements of American Middle class society in this thought provoking book which is just one of many this awesome social critic has written through the years and we look forward to reading his clever knowledge and observations in the near future.
