Hercules was a baby bull that wanted to ber free and knew his future would be on a plate to over-sized and over-served North Americans. The bull decided to make a run for it and in the backwaters of rural redneck state of Maine Hercules saw hope and made a dash for the Canadian border. Skowhegan police were quickly called a sa loose bull is not as common a sight in the North woods as a loose moose and the owner wanted his livestock turned over pronto and alive so he could raise it to be big and eventually juicy on some lucky dogs dinner plate in about a year. Hercules though wanted to stay alive like the Bee Gees and was a bull on parade for a couple of days after his run and jump out of this hell hole life his owner had in store for this Right Bull baby beast. One can only wonder the terror Hercules faced alone being chased by authorities and hound dogs for his final hours.
g Skowhegen's police chief For over 3 miles and an hour and a half on Monday, police pursued the loose right bull, named Hercules, using their cruiser loudspeakers to warn pedestrians to get out of the way as they chased the animal through two major intersections, across a bridge and through downtown Skowhegan streets.
The rural residents of this backwater didn't know what to do about this event and many remained inside until tio was deemed safe to return to the streets. The bull, recently purchased for $840 at a Fairfield auction house, ultimately Hercules demostrated his athletic ability in his 600 pound frame and ended up swimming across the Kennebec River and was attempting to make it up the river bank when the police chief shot and killed it, devastating its owner and sparking outrage from some local farmers.
Skowhegan Police Chief David Bucknam stands by the decision to shoot Hercules, saying the bull posed a threat to public safety. The Bulls corpse slipped into the river and was never recovered lauying even more wase to this incident as at least iof recovered could of been converted to dog food. Hercules owner chalked it up as a major loss and demanded compensation or at least another baby bull he can raise an d eventually roast for a barbeque someday. I already have the patent on Hercules run application for apple and Anderoid and wherever Hercules rests right now hopefully it is in peace.
