Professor David Korten wrote a piece in support of president Trump's tariff plans and basically called out free global trade as a free-will and ability of corporate powers to increase profits through sell out an dumping of regions after they duped local communities for concessions to begin with. Much of the bad decisions made by corporation are rarely dealt economically by the company itself and it is the local community Korten claims that deals with the consequences and full cost of destructive power and impact of the environment by these mega-corporations.
Korten is supportive of tariffs and other protective measures if they really do have well-being of the citizen and this should be the underlining main fight against these corporations as they continue to spread poison and disease across the globe in their greed to monetize their stock shares and profiteering rackets. Dave is publisher and editor of Yes magazine and has been battling for a more sustainable planet and an end to the corrupt global trade order where big mega corporations battle with various government set regulations reversed and eventually work to purchase political leaders in order to get regulations reversed and new mining opportunities for their Earth degrading corporate enterprises. Korten has a ten point plan and despite his admiration for Trump's necessary tariffs to help wipe put the profits of the Earth degrading tradesters Korten is thinking about running for president of the United States in 2020. His ten point recovery plan will be the outline of his campaign and even if he doesn't win Mr Korten will have new outlets and ideas of a new book to promote and push this important idea for a total recovery and eclipse of the global trade destruction.
