Stanly Randell
30 years ago today was The Darkest Day in the history of professional wrestling Hulk Hogan had formed to join the NWO with villain rustlesr Scott Hall and Kevin Nash and the heel change Hulkster did was still one of the biggest in professional wrestling and of all time. Hulk Hogan decided to jump ship from the WCW and to go on to these two Outsiders who were looking to take over this weak dead ass wrestling organization from within. Hulk Hogan gave Randy Savage the leg drop from hell and turned on team WCW in the shocking and appalling event that occurred in July 7th 1996 and for the next 3 years Hulk Hogan and his cronies were Waging War against various types of World Championship wrestlers and personalities in one of the most brutal battles that we've ever seen in professional wrestling since and even after.
Hulk Hogan was never the same as people booed him and he was unaccustomed to the jeers from the crowd which eventually started to turn into cheers again when he came back to the WWE in about 2001. However, July 7th 1996 was the day that wrestling died as the generation of hulksters became hucksters as the sights and sounds of Hulk Hogan turning and become a bad guy was almost too much consuming and many quite professional wrestling immediately unable to cope with the idea that they're hero the Hulk would have done what he did to his friend Randy Savage. In fact this event was one of the most unrecognizable major influencers in American Media and culture that's the idea that the superhero in an era right before a total superhero worship would go bad and join forces with such evil utterly upset people to the point of lifelong depression and many were never able to recover it from their life
