Phillip Morris, Japan tobacco and other global cigarette companies filed suits against England's soon to be awesome ban on cigarette brand labeling that other European countries have thus emulated. they disdain the plain packaging attempts by countries tired of having to offset the health crisis of so many of their ignorant citizens who feel they have rights to inhale chemicals. Global tobacco consumption has been declining  and the big tobacco companies know that this brand abatement would be a nail into their coffins in Europe that could spread like a cancer elsewhere. Cigarette companies long relied on peoples loyalty and attachment to brand packaging with these deadly and sickly products that shamefully these companies have been allowed to continue to commerce  their populations. these companies now seek to use trade deals and European law to force countries from ending this fight against tobacco and deny restricting this product and its rights to promote their killing habit. basically this is how Tobacco has used the law and wealth to continue this disgusting habit and marketing to people that there is nothing possible wrong with their product despite all the evidence and clear dangers of using it. Cigarette smoking is the ultimate unrestricted evil capitalism run amok and how they continue to use the courts and laws to sell unsafe products should say as much as it can about the system that enabled something like big tobacco to thrive for generations. Anyone that has ever seen an idiot look for their favorite brand or have a eccentric girlfriend demand a specific brand should know the power of packaging and branding on the moronic cigarette consumer. Plain packaging attempt sin Europe should be argued and accomplished in America and could do its best in ending this disease of smoke inhaling for these unintelligent folks that know no better.  As more and more of industrial countries decide on this it can only excitedly continue the decline of smoking.
