Taxi drivers mad at forced clean car act
Terry Blue
Taxi drivers are bitching again about some new regulation forcing them to clean their cabs by a certain time. I don't know if they mean the mess inside Chicago's cabs or just the switch to electric cars but many cabbies are upset at the costs of these new regulations. The increase in clean air act for cabs will make it more costly for these poor cabbies as they continue to wait to shift the cost to the riders. They are still upset that it has been years that they have been fighting for a fare increase in Chicago. The city council is not about to come to aid of four thousand peon drivers who are lucky not to be in Somalia or Syria over the importance of business and tourist trade in Chicago. for some reason the magazine the Nation is coming to their defense and really should workers who undercut American cab workers decades ago should really consider any sympathises from the Nation magazine? Like I always said about urban taxi drivers..if they don't like their easy driving job they can go back to Somalia or Syria.
