This ugly old white man says Detroit's suburbs are not affected by Detroit's problems. The county executive of Oakland County has been in control of Oakland County since the early nineties and it is assholes like him in charge why America's suburbs are so fucking ugly and spread out. In Mr Patterson's world you only exist if you put yourself in debt and driving a new car every five years. Those in charge of planning are more reason for Detroit and urban America's fall as they helped lure businesses and tax dollars out of cities to pay for their unsustainable costly streets and sprawl. This old prick has been featured in many business magazines lately like businessweek and Bloomberg gloating about how much money they have and Detroit has none. This jerk loves sprawl and wants even more of it for his wealthy county filled with people who only care about themselves. people don't talk about one of reasons Detroit has so much debt is because old assholes fled the city for cheaper land to environmentally destruct so they have have large tracts of gas to cut. Detroit had to take loans just to fucking exist and survive as a settlement. people like Patterson help transition investment away from cities by their tax breaks to those who hold power in making jobs. What comes around goes around and one can only hope soon Oakland County falls into same dilapidated conditions and this shows importance of getting involved in local politics and the power business can have destroying a region they see as valueless because of their competing political positions. people like Brook Patterson put so much value in Oakland County primarily out of racism and has used such fear to help his area grow at the expense of destroying what was once a great American city even further. A s far as his obsessions with sprawl, we have seen the wars and build up of American bases worldwide so assholes like him can continue a unsustainable environment away from the blacks they so despise.
