I decided to see the geriatric Clint Eastwood's movie that I heard so much of for some years. Grand Torino is about some Archie Bunker type old man that served in Korea and is disgruntled by Hmongs among him. A friendship develops and at the end his character sacrifices himself for his Asian younger friend and gets shot like a thousand times from ten gang bangers. Somehow he has an open casket funeral and that along with him kicking the ass of some gang punk four times younger makes this a bullshit movie. While the premise of he storyline of intergenerational and interracial friendship is cool the amount of gun worship and glorification makes this a nauseating movie. Clint Eastwood is like eighty two years old i this movie and i just looks silly having him be some tough guy. Another fact is that racists do not change especially at a old age such as his character. In fact his character would of been the first white household to move out as soon as Asian Hmong started moving into his block so the whole posit of this movie is lame brained. How the hell this movie got any recognition or awards I will never know and I can see why I was never in a hurry to see this movie.
