Social critic criticism...rich people and their carriage rides

  Troy York
The horse riding carriage industry in New York is finished as one of Bill De Blassio's first move as mayor will be to get rid of this function in New York. wealthy people could afford to rent a carriage in downtown and have the beast of burden ride them around clogging up traffic. There is a new era in New York and the people have spoken and voted for a man not concerned with the indulgences of the Super rich. Many tourists (wealthy) in New York are upset at the new mayors plans as some of said they have seen these carriages in the movies and wanted to come to experience it for themselves. What they want is the world to see them as some noblemen who gets whisked away just like in the feudal days along in a city only very wealthy can afford to stay. This racket may of went on for a long time when Bloomberg was in office but I got news for the one percent who travel to Manhattan to shop. Michael Bloomberg is no longer your mayor. Much like the movies most of the people who can blow money on a short ride are white and if they want to experience the ride of a horse carriage they should go to orange County or upstate New York. It is not safe for these horses and they shouldn't be held to drag wealthy white people all around New York. Mayor De Blasio will end this soon and hopefully someone can start a movement to end Chicago's pathetic embarrassing carriage rides as well. End of an era: Carriage rides through Central Park could be a thing of the past once Bill de Blasio takes office
