Detroit baseball team more important than the residents

Guy Baldwin

At times like this as the city of Detroit cuts services to its resident and government workers in Detroit see their pensions lowered despite years of service news gets even more worse all of the time. Detroit is a City hit hard by corporate layoffs and jobs sent overseas to help pay the incredulous salaries of CEOs now Detroit resident a get more news to insult the situation they face. The Detroit tigers have given a three hundred million dollar contract to one player named Miguel Cabrera. One man gets three hundred millions dollars while the rest of the city suffers with little money in budget for daily operations to run what was once a magnificent city. I have often wondered how we as a society allowed a great city like Detroit to be geared apart and financially ruined for the likely amusement of some. Then it Sports serves to serve up inequality and are pretty much funded by both voluntarily and involuntarily in me redistribution from the masses. People buying and using corporate products that fund baseball stadiums and television deals could not be possible without our aid in addition to extreme ticket prices other upper income people who attend these events. Things will not change until the poor take matter in their own hands as they  who are really being ripped off by having their services taken away funding ballparks for billionaires. The Miguel Cabreas could never be paid this much without the complicity of a silent class of people who do not fight the inequality flow of money into unnecessary projects and sports.
dawned on me why we live in an era where cities are practically destroyed the way Detroit appears to systematically been purposely damaged by a deliberate plot. How else can a corporation of in this case a baseball organization afford to pay one person all that sum of money without the money being taken away from thousands more who would never even spend a dime to watch a game.
