Social critic criticism...Memorial Day, Driving, and Civil War reenacting

Bradly Handley
Memorial day is a hyprocrital holiday as Americans use that time for the age old love and  addiction of endless driving and travel. Americas need for cheap energy and oil to power our vehicles to be independent and travel is what has lead us to countless wars in the past few decades. Memorial day holidays are a time to reflect on the recent battles that continues to drone Pakistani families and bring us affordable energy so bikers can ride with no restrictions and families can make weekend trips two states away all summer. it is no irony that Memorial Day starts the American driving season that would never be available without our demands to have bases in almost two hundred locations throughout the word. memorial day and the driving demands that go with it is an oxymoron that will always perpetuate wars in far away places and only old people seem to attend these ceremonies and the lowering of the radical American flag of war.
Another old age American tradition this time of year is the summer war reenacting events that are held all over. These celebrations always seems really bizarre and I am sure only the United States is foolish enough to have this. In almost all cases these actors reenact the civil war and the various fights that took all over mostly in the South. Can you imagine Europeans reanatcing World War 1 or two especially as we approach the hundredth year anniversary of this bloodshed that ruined a continent twice. For some reason there are some bored ass white people on North American spill that seem to think it is cool to make belief and act out a savage war that nearly tore apart this pathetic nation. I would be willing to bet no where else will you see this stupid American accustomed rural redneck ritual on display from a people loving and longing for a state of perpetual warfare.Happy memorial day folks
