Renato Velasquez wanted to make more money so he pressed on one cold January night. The forty seven year old trucker came here from Tacetecus, Mexico or someplace like this as NAFTA allowed the flow of low-skill workers to be able to come at will into this country and men like Renato came here with a dream.
Their dream was to drive as much as possible on the nations highway system so they could make a lot of money and drive a truck somewhat similar to weight and size to the rigs they make their living. unfortunately for other drivers on the roads in order for truck drivers to make a lot of money they have to go to without sleep for says on end and this asshole slammed into a tollway worker and a trooper who was killed because this trucker was doing two days of work in one day hauling 14000 pounds of rolled steel. truckers like Velasquez are way more common than people realize it in their need to be greedy and skip regulations put in place to force these fucks to take sleep breaks and so forth. despite these important regulations many truckers skip over it to make extra cash and keep bringing the cheap imports that have so enriched a class of folks in China. Luckily this prick was found guilty on five counts and now a new move is being made to tighten sentencing for future truckers who make these same decisions to falsify log in sheets and miss required sleep breaks when they are doing their interstate traveling shipping junk all across this country in this pathetic occupation many do spending as little time with their families as possible.
