Steve Dahl was seen at union station this past weekend eating at the McDonalds and avoiding the nasty bathrooms that are cleaned once a day at this train station. He took the train in from Western Springs last weekend and went to some show with his wife Janet. He said he hates taking the train and Union Station on weekends as a different class of people can be seen than the usual white collar weekday business folks into Chicago.
Steve Dahl refused to use the bathroom and toilets at the station and that is a good thing for Chicagoans as I don't think many people would want to use a toilet after Dahl used one. The bathrooms are bad enough at union station and Dahl had to wait it out until he got to whatever high end expensive theatre he went to see a live performance show. Dahl said that people were looking at him as he stood in line at intermission thinking he had cut in line he was in such a hurry to drizzle into a urinal. Dahl then decided he was short on time as he would usually go out to et at a nice place while visiting downtown and decided to eat at the McDonalds at union station. Over the years this radio legend has made a habit out of conning free food from these restaurants to talk over the radio about the place and on this night Dahl decided he wasn't going to pay top dollar for his wife after already taking his wife to an expensive show. Dahl and his wife stuck it out eating at the McDonalds with all the rowdy teenagers and those twenty-somethings with teenage maturities on this Saturday night out on the town. Dahl explained all of this to start his work week on WLS radio and said he rarely eats at McDonalds and will start taking the express train from Hinsdale into downtown being annoyed at all the stops he has to deal with on his commute to the city. He also complained that the people are all good looking at the Hinsdale station not knowing that this advantage of corporate looks is what empowers these folks and allows many of them to be wealthy and successful able to live in an exclusive suburb of Chicago to build even more wealth. A reason even a mcdonalds wont even go into Hinsdale.
