Tim Rickard's and Brewster Rockit is like my favorite comic book exploring the space and heavens unlike any other comic writer. he had a week long segment where Observer guy alien took Brewster on a tour of some old outdated technology that was the usual hilarious and informative.
Observer alien had a segment where he was showing Brewster an old radio the size of a television that was the centerpiece of every home in an era and galaxy very far away. Brewster and the alien reflected how it was not nice actually having to see the elite bastard that the elite backed media focuses their cameras on all of the time because some average woman comes from over average bank account. You couldn't actually see a Kim Kardashian and that was a good thing as in reality why should anyone outside the Kardashian clan actually know nor care who is this rich bitch. this only occurs only by the process of a profit-driven and handout media that takes their income from the likes of those who own capital and hoard it so they can spread out their fame to these paid outlets. radio basically started this process of celebrity but back then you actually had to have some talent in show business or music to have the microphone. These day the rich have accumulated scrupulously so much money that they now entertain themselves by making entertainers of themselves and show their wealth from these media outlets that now make celebrities out of people for no other reason that they are already filthy rich. 
One must wonder and be amazed how a Rockefeller's daughter or a son of a Morgan didn't think of this as mass media was starting out but likely it was because the rich actually had fear of the masses and labor strife workers and the poor would fight back. only a really confident and arrogant attitude from todays filthy rich allows their domination into other segments of society as we now see with television,magazines, and other forms of entertainment. Kim Kardhasian got pregnant the other day and was again pasted all over the news. The second time she will make a baby now with Kanye West and she will likely keep gathering unwarranted publicity until the age of time starts wrinkling her appearance and making people question why we follow this old bat.
