Thomas Hartmann has been tackling inequality and taking on the police in about every show he does now and I just have a few comments to say about his programs. Hartmann lay claim that since Ronald Reagan took over television has become a place where it is all about rich people and that there is a void of middle class sitcoms on television these days. gone are the days of All in the Family and other blue collar television programs that featured people who were less than prosperous. He brings out the Honeymooners as the classic example but the reason there is more wealthy people portrayed on TV these days is because there are more wealthy people. There is also the fact that a Thomas Hartmann does not want to admit is that people would much rather prefer to watch the lives of the wealthy on TV than some struggling boring character that just goes to work. Dynasty and Dallas could of easily been aired a few years earlier and I wonder if Thom Hartmann would of then blamed the jimmy carter administration for the airing of these rich programs. Hartmann felt this was installing a culture that people should strive for something bigger instead of being content and living in that trailer park. It is not television that makes people become greedy and want more it is just people wanting more out of life and the pressure they feel to want more and keep up with the Jones would exist without television or not.
This turkey also keeps bashing the police having callers all the time calling in with their bad encounters with patrolmen. This is a liberal who would say one bad act of a black criminal on the street should not be indicative of all blacks yet when it comes to cops he is open up on judging all of them. I a country of so many armed police men doing their job of patrolling the street for this guy to think there is something wrong because of alleged purposeful killings is an idiot. This is a guy who is sanctimonious on anyone that has a different opinion and realizes the difficulties of police in dealing with disgruntled bad people on the street. This creep and his callers though see police as an occupying force. Hartmann would never say anything similar about the more numerous black criminals killings people for sport or the gangs that run the streets when police are absent. and this pretty much shows the anti-police establishment angle this guy has on his programs. This is a jackass with an agenda to cause dissension within America.
