Located in the oil rich region of Xinjiang a new steel structure similar to Chicago's bean has angered the artist and many complaining that this is another Chinese knockoff of a world landmark. All I can say is that ripping off something that real is not that great is not a crime and without the Chinese tourists proclaiming how great Chicago's bean and who cares if there is something similar half way around the world. Does artist Anish Kapoor hold a patent on stupid mirror-like steel curved artwork where people can basically just look at themselfies in a large selfie. The Bean and this Chinese copy are nothing but those silly mirrors found in carnivals but at a more annoying size and promoting concept at a tourist spot. if Kapoor is really upset he needs to step up his game and come up with something better and not worry about what plagiarism could occur from fools inspired from his over-rated work. Anish said that Chinese authorities need to stop this infringement and I wonder if the creator of the first skyscraper said something as asinine. The pictures of the Chinese Bubble looks cool as it has not been inundated with dumb tourists crawling all over the place looking t themselves like Chicago's bean and this region deserves to have some landmark. I don't know how many of you have been to remote Xinjiang but the place could use some improvement. This sculpture isn't hurting anyone except poor old Anish Kapoor who somehow takes it personal that a Chinese artist would want to have something nice for hard working oil workers who toil long hours to bring energy to the SUVs of the tiny elites in China. even the idiot mayor of Chicago got involved in this debate commenting on whether Chicago join in a lawsuit with the artist that would only seek to hurt the tourist business travel that the mayor 1% works hard for more than improving the empty lots of residents on west side.
