Turkey headed for another brutal civil war in Middle East

The Turkish republic is headed for a brutal civil war on par with Syria after months of Nazi like purges of opposition party headquarters. the fierce struggle between Turkish security forces and the Kurdish Workers party and since September of last year The party’s offices in 56 provinces and districts were stoned, vandalized and torched. The attacks reached a peak late Sept. 8 when a mob of some 500 people stormed HDP headquarters in downtown Ankara, ransacking and burning part of the building. Scores of Kurdish property and business alike have been torched by these Turkish extremists who are trying to forestall another breakup of ottoman territory by peoples long harassed and vilified by Turks. The central Anatolian city of Kirsehir, where more than 20 Kurdish-owned businesses and shops, including the city’s only bookstore, were torched.
The Turks have a long history of brutal oppression against people who are not Turks and the PKK Kurdish militia has retaliated against these attacks gunning down thirty Turkish members of security forces who needless to say were only providing security to Turks. The Peoples Democratic party become the third largest party in Turkey and is along the lines as a pro-Kurdish party and their success last June in elections have pushed the Turkish Nazis into a fervor of extreme nationalism that we have not seen since the days of the third Reich. The massive divide between secular folks and the growing Islamic power is another force that can shape a three way war among the various peoples that will make Iraq War look like the Spanish-American war. Protests usually leads up to warfare as we have seen in the past and this pot has been brewing and growing Kurdish unrest and demands for their independence in a country where they make up forty percent and growing population will ultimely split this country.
