As a cab hater and award winning coliumn I skew on-line looking for taxi stories and came across a huge one that was shared on network TV. Big fat old al Roker is a elitist weatherman long being a person of no interest on television highlighted for innate reasons. This goo would appear on David Letterman's talk show many times which I would just promptly turn the channel as how the fuck can a weatherman ever qualify as a celebrity. Al Roker was put on network television for decades and this decision was always decided from some network TV executive and surely not based on any talent Al Roker had to offer an audience. Al put up a stink through social media that some taxi driver passed his ass up for a White man as he grabbed for the door some weeks back and he woulnd up getting this taxi driver fired or reprimanded or fined. You see what this is all about is Al Roker has been a spoiled medi monarch most of his adult life being treated and having his ass kissed by wardrobe people that one minor incident of being treated like an average Jerome and he goes apeshit on TV nd to his allies in the corporate media. Fat man also has the benefit of social media these days where he can go and express outrage that his spoiled media elite ass was actually offended by an average Joe or in this case an average Mahoour from Begali. This is what most likely offended this geriatric untalented man whose only legacy is reading weather patterns and then getting paid outrageously. Roker is lucky actually to be a black man as a guy of his clownish looks is obviously a token and would never have been given an actual anchor position. His job was to tell a few jokes and read the weather and quickly get the cameras off him as the national network made their one quota.
The media took this story and ran with it as a discrimination case as Al Roker is one of them and whether the taxi driver had a bad previous encounter with Al Roker or didn't see him is irrelevant. roker has always appeared to me as a cocky fuck. Al feels special and claims he was bypassed because he is a black man who was wti his teenage some. I have blasted taxi drivers but one thing I will never blast them if for their freedom based on experience to pick up whoever they dam well please wanting to pick up a fare or not based on assumptions and perceptions. Airports routinely screen passengers having the TSA but Taxi drivers are not afforded this privileged and the edia and government tells them they have to treat all potential customers equally. 
They must pick up the ragged homeless guy likely to bail out or a menacing looking individual over a safe fare of a guy in a business suit who looks like he belongs in an elite downtown where most taxi drivers actually drive in urban centers. Perhaps if the media was so quick to jump to stories of every manhandling and mugging taxi drivers have to endure usually to guys who look like younger versions of Al then maybe people can get a better understanding why taxi drivers may be jittery. Unlike cops they are not armed when having to deal with many of the lower elements in cities that often look at taxi drivers as easy prey and opportunities for some quick jingle. Mahouber Rhaman Si? will pay a five hundred dollar fine which is like 5 cents to this blck weatherman whose feeling were hurt and claims he was bypassed by the driver.
The sensitive Al Roker went on the Today show and told the story and made abig fuss without a shread of evidence that the driver actually bypassed him because he is an old over-paid weatherman of African descent and Mahouber was a racist. Mahouber is darker than Al and if anyone is discriminatory it is more likely the media elite fat ugly Al Roker. This story is bullshit and it seems to me Al Roker is making a bigger deal than this incident was going fishing for some black lives matter more systematic complex many are getting. Most people reporting on this story would likely have bypassed this jerk too if they had the misfortune of having to be regulated to driving a taxi all day for a living instrad of doing a TV news report.
