Steve Dahl is happy to be back on radio in the city of Chicago as he can comment on many subtle things he sees from day to day in Chicago as he makes his train commute from Western Springs suburbia. he can also make comments on comedy movies and actors that he is over and tired of seeing and last month I enjoyed a couple of Dahl reflections through his radio program which I have enjoyed fro the past thirty year but miss in recent ones as he was regulate to the world of paid podcasting. Steve complained about the number of money beggars in downtown Chicago and evidently he don't see too many in ritzy Western Springs. People who live in mansion and McMansion areas have a strong village police state long entrenched to make sure incidents of beggary don't occur or are visible in the suburbs of our urban centers. Dahl feels bad if they are legitimate but he says he would be broke and in their position if he were to give every time a sucker asks for some loose change and Dahl questions where this money would go to. As someone who has known many of these phony beggars much of their proceedings went to cigarettes and booze. Dahl is happy when he sees other people talk to them and estimate that they may be social workers trying to do something for these fucking bums and this pleases Dahl as he can go to his studio and make an overpaid living spewing words in a microphone. Perhaps the problem to all these beggars and homeless in the street is just fund a radio show for them like a Steve Dahl enjoys and I am sure nine out of ten of these people are just as talented and have insightful shit to say as a Steve Dahl. Dahl says he often gives these beggars a few bucks but from one look of him the only money he ever gives beggars is when he makes a rare trek to the South Side and visits Beggars Pizza.
