Christine Brennan wrote some recent article about how Peyton Manning should retire. The Super Bowl champion quarterback was off fresh from another championship when the USA today writer decided to highlight past allegations against Peyton manning. it seems that this female sportswriter wrote back in 2003 how Manning was accused of rape as a student at the University of Tennessee and now through the access of social media she decided to bring this up to all again. Peyton Manning is such a spokesperson for corporate America selling everything and resurfacing these rape allegations come at the wrong time for him. Big men on campuses likely think they have access to everything and the allegations go back as he was a football star in the college football obsessed South. Christine Brennon was right to bring up these past allegations and that it should tarnish his image as few knew about it as a sports writing industry long dominated by men who would look the other way and not write critical things and bring up these subjects to the athletes they are told we should all worship and mostly write like it. The male rapist athletes of today have a thorn on their side and this is the female sportswriter and many men in the industry just cannot handle this new reality and focus of the actions of their heroes of the gridiron who are many times nightmares to woman.
