Senator Dick Durbin should mind his own business. Corporate layoffs are a fact of life and business in America has been laying off people for the longest time and Dick Durbin recently leeked out that Abbot laboratories was outsourcing overpaid IT workers here in America who don't even work hard to those in India willing to work much harder for a bit less
. This is the free-market and now that some American politicians are worried that white-collar American jobs are going overseas instead of blue collar they are all in a hissy fiss. I came here under the H-1b visa program from an unnamed American company looking for people willing to do computer work and not spend half of the day staring at their fantasy sports leagues and updates. I worked my ass off until I started my own IT company where I hire and help bring in Indians into the United states to work on projects and not take some hours or two reading about Kim Kardashian. Indian IT workers are among the best in the field 
and the fact that Abbott or other American firms want to have current unproductive workers train new workers in India how to do the company's projects and sourceing material should not be a pressing issue for Dick Durbin or a Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders. Indian firms have been killing the Informationan Technology scene and global companies of all orgins want to take advantages of this increasingly important function of global companies whether be the talent or the costs that would be lowered from over-paid IT workers from the west. It seems that the IT workers in the west want freebies and handouts and this is usually the form of easy hours and high pay for inadequate work and this is likely the issue Abbot understood and politicians like Illinois Dick Durbin never will fathom.
