tThe Two Way Lounge is the last of its kind in Chicago's Logan square neighborhood may be closing a down and taken over by foreign restauranter named Anshul Mangal, co-owner of the furious Spoon. This is the last dive bar in a crowded cookie cutter area f the ten dollar cocktail and the demise of this place is s shame and fully illustrates the growing disconnect the urban young elite have with the rest of America. They live in a world of swank and utter hip that is a different world from the drinking establishments fly-over America has and this can only add to separate bridges and paths people will encounter in life and having noting to do with one another. The separation is lifestyle will not even be observed between classes as many gentrifying neighborhoods kick out people and businesses such as the two Way Lounge which offered an unpretentious rare environment in this neighborhood. the story goes that the owners wanted to sell and got old despite the fact this bar has been passed through generations and one wonders why now the legacy of all these dive bars needs to be ending. These bars offered chips and so forth where all of these new places refuse and never sell and perhaps the fact a bar still sells chips is the number one definition of being a dive. All these wine bars is a sign that the neighborhood has changed and financial exclusivity is seen by the residents as a sign of progress with the demise of places such as Helen's Two Way Lounge.
