New Mexican Center Bear murdered for thrashing marathon runner Karen Williams

   Karen Williams was cruising in her marathon run when she startled a bear on the pathway in this race in a national preserve. Now why the hell a marathon was being held in a preserve will never be known and an incident such as this was bound to happen.Wildlife officials tracked the bear to an area near the attack and euthanized it Sunday. They searched Monday for the bear's cubs, with plans to take them to a wildlife center if they were found.  Karen was ripped to shreds by this bear that was startled to see someone running in such a brisk manner towards her cherish Cubs.The mauling, considered rare for New Mexico, left Williams with multiple punctures and cuts. She said a "mean left hook" by the bear also fractured her right eye socket and ripped her eyelid, but her injuries miraculously were not life-threatening. This could of been deadly but thankfully for Williams it was a medium sized species of Black bear and not the more deadlier version of the noted man-killer Grizzly.  MS Williams had to play dead for the bear to stop the attack and once it became clear to the Center Bear this runner no longer posed  threat to her New Mexico Cubs mama bear decided to leave this fortunate runner alone and leave her with some hefty health care bills which may prevent this woman from running in any future races in the future. park rangers tracked the Bear down and killed it because state law requires all bears who bite humans to be liquidated and killed even in the act of defending little Cubs.
